In the global ranking for 2023, North Korea held the 75th position. Senegal surpassed North Korea with a consumption of 10,000 metric tons. The top positions in this ranking were dominated by the United States, Germany, and Japan, which secured the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th spots, respectively.
