Cuban coffee consumption is projected to decline significantly, dropping to 5,000 metric tons by 2028 from its current level of 8,000 metric tons in 2023. By 2028, production is expected to fall to 91,830 bags of 60 kg from 102,860 bags in 2023, marking an annual compound growth rate decline of 1.8%. This decline has been consistent since 1995, with an average annual drop of 2.7%. In 2023, Cuba ranked 33rd in coffee production. Panama surpassed Cuba with an identical production volume of 102,860 bags. The top producers in the global ranking were Vietnam, Colombia, and Indonesia, taking the second, third, and fourth places, respectively.
