On the production front, Dominican coffee output is expected to decline. By 2028, production is anticipated to drop to about 394,000 bags (each bag weighing 60 kg), down from approximately 408,000 bags in 2023. This represents an average annual decrease of 0.6%. Since 1995, the country's coffee supply has been falling at a rate of 1.1% per year. In 2023, the Dominican Republic was the 21st largest coffee producer, with Ecuador surpassing it at the same production level of 408,000 bags. The leading producers in this ranking were Vietnam, Colombia, and Indonesia, occupying the second, third, and fourth spots respectively.
