In 2023, Cameroon ranked 67th globally in coffee consumption, with Costa Rica slightly ahead at 13,000 metric tons. Leading the rankings are the United States, Germany, and Japan, occupying the second, third, and fourth positions, respectively. On the production front, Cameroonian coffee output totaled approximately 127,000 bags of 60 kg each in 2023, a significant drop from about 157,000 bags in 2022. This represents a 19.2% decrease compared to the previous year. Since 1995, the country's coffee supply has diminished by an average of 14.1% year on year. In 2023, Cameroon was ranked 31st in global coffee production, with the Philippines just ahead at the same production level of 127,000 bags. Vietnam, Colombia, and Indonesia held the second, third, and fourth spots in this category, respectively.
