Tunisian coffee consumption is projected to decline to approximately 20,000 metric tons by 2028, down from around 21,000 metric tons in 2023, marking an annual decrease of about 1.1%. Despite this downward trend, Tunisian demand for coffee has seen a slight annual increase of 1% since 2019. In the global context, Tunisia ranked 57th in coffee consumption in 2023. Croatia, with nearly the same consumption level as Tunisia, edged ahead with 21,000 metric tons. Leading the global rankings, the United States, Germany, and Japan secured the second, third, and fourth spots, respectively.
