Ghana's coffee production is projected to plummet to just 70 bags of 60 kilograms by 2028, a sharp decline from 7,680 bags in 2023. This represents an average annual decrease of 58.6%. Since 1995, the nation's coffee supply has been on a downward trajectory, decreasing by an average of 12.5% each year. In 2023, Ghana ranked 48th in global coffee production, with Liberia just ahead, also producing 7,680 bags. On the international stage, Vietnam, Colombia, and Indonesia held the top three positions in coffee production, respectively. Meanwhile, Ghanaian coffee consumption reached zero metric tons in 2018, maintaining the same level from the previous year, 2017.
