This marks a substantial decrease from the 99,000 metric tons recorded in 2023. The average annual decline is expected to be about 4.6%. Since 2019, Australian coffee demand has been on a downward trend, with an annual decrease of around 3.9%. In 2023, Australia ranked 17th globally in coffee consumption, a position overtaken by Poland, which also reported a consumption of 99,000 metric tons. Leading the global ranking, the United States holds the top spot, followed by Germany and Japan in second and third places, respectively.
