Dutch coffee consumption is projected to climb to 62,000 metric tons by 2028, up from 60,000 metric tons in 2023. This marks an average annual growth rate of 0.5%. However, this modest increase comes after a period of decline; since 2019, Dutch demand for coffee has decreased by 1.9% each year. In the global ranking for 2023, the Netherlands held the 28th spot. South Africa slightly edged ahead, also recording a consumption of 60,000 metric tons. The top spots were dominated by the United States, Germany, and Japan, which ranked second, third, and fourth, respectively.
