In 2021, the country consumed 60,000 metric tons of coffee, placing it 27th in the world rankings. South Africa consumed the most, at the same amount. Brazil, Germany, and Japan ranked second, third, and fourth. Since 2017, Dutch demand for coffee has declined by about 3%. However, it is projected to reach 62,000 metric tons by 2026, growing at an average annual rate of 0.6%.
