Since 2019, Croatia's demand for coffee has been on a steady rise, growing at an annual rate of 0.9%. In 2023, Croatia ranked 56th in the world for coffee consumption. Bosnia and Herzegovina narrowly edged out Croatia with its coffee consumption also at roughly 22,000 metric tons. Leading the global rankings in coffee consumption were the United States, Germany, and Japan, occupying the second, third, and fourth spots respectively.
