In 2023, the United Kingdom ranked second in catering revenue, overtaken by Germany, which also stood at €4.4 billion. Following the UK in the rankings were France and Belgium, in third and fourth positions respectively. Despite the drop in revenue, British catering expenditure is expected to grow. By 2028, expenditure is forecasted to reach €139 billion, up from €130 billion in 2023. This marks an average yearly increase of 1.1%. Since 2000, British demand for catering services has risen by an average of 1.9% each year.
