Rwandan pepper production is set to reach 8,830 metric tonnes by 2026. In 2021, it was 7,570 metric tonnes – an 11.2% year-on-year increase since 2013. Rwanda was the 85th largest pepper producer in 2021, behind Bhutan. Mexico, Indonesia and Spain were the largest producers, ranking in the top three respectively.
