Colombian pepper production is on the rise. In 2021 the country recorded 144,350 metric tons, up 46.8% since 1966. Venezuela was the top producer with 186,200 metric tons, followed by Mexico, Indonesia and Spain. This trend is expected to continue, with Colombian production set to reach 186,200 metric tons by 2026. This means an average year-on-year growth of 4.3%.
