This is a slight decrease from 1966, with a 0.1% year-on-year drop. Austria came in at number one with 15,040 metric tons of production in 2021. Mexico, Indonesia, and Spain came in at numbers two, three, and four respectively. All of these countries are expected to see a 0.5% year-on-year growth in pepper production on average over the next five years.
