Taiwanese Peppers production is set to reach 31,000 metric tons by 2026. Since 1966, the supply of peppers from Taiwan has grown 2.5% annually. As of 2021, the country was ranked 57th in the world for production, with Libya overtaking at 29,700 metric tons. Mexico, Indonesia and Spain respectively were the second, third and fourth largest producers. In 2018, Taiwanese pepper consumption totalled 3,000 metric tons, a slight increase from the 3,000 of the previous year.
