Demand for Algerian Peppers is set to reach 17,000 metric tons by 2026. This follows an upward trend since 2017, with an annual growth rate of 1.9%. Production of peppers in Algeria is projected to reach 836,000 metric tons by 2026. This is an increase of 2.5% year on year since 1971. In 2021, Algeria was the eighth largest producer of peppers, with Nigeria ahead at 721,730 metric tons. Mexico, Indonesia and Spain followed in second, third and fourth places respectively.
