Australians are predicted to consume 4,000 metric tons of peppers in 2026, the same amount as in 2021. This is despite an overall stable growth rate since 2017. The production of peppers in Australia is also expected to remain stable, increasing by 0.2% year on year to 45,400 metric tons in 2026. Since 1990, the supply of peppers has increased by 4.1% each year. The country ranks 50th in global production, with Guyana now ahead at 44,980 metric tons. Mexico, Indonesia, and Spain are the other top producers in the ranking.
