Irish pepper production is on the decline. In 2021, Ireland produced 330.08 metric tons of peppers, down 0.3% from the previous year. This marks a drop of 1.2% since 1991. Ireland now ranks 111th in global pepper production. Brunei recently overtook Ireland, producing 336 metric tons. Mexico, Indonesia, and Spain rank second, third, and fourth, respectively.
