Sri Lankan consumption of Peppers is set to grow modestly over the next five years. By 2026, it is expected to reach 46 thousand metric tons. This is a 0.4% year on year average rate, with no change since 2017. Meanwhile, Sri Lanka's production of peppers is also forecast to increase slightly over the next five years. It is projected to reach around 63,550 metric tons by 2026, at a 0.1% year on year average rate. Since 1966, production has decreased by 2.5% year on year. The country currently ranks 40th in terms of pepper production, behind Guatemala, Mexico, Indonesia and Spain.
