Serbian pepper consumption is expected to remain at 3,000 metric tons in the next five years. Since 2017, there has been no change in demand for the spicy vegetable. Meanwhile, production is predicted to dip slightly over the same period, falling from 123,580 metric tons in 2021 to 107,480 metric tons in 2026, a decrease of 2% annually. This amounts to an 11.5% drop compared to 2011. Serbia ranked 27th in 2021, with Romania ahead of it at 123,580 metric tons. Mexico, Indonesia, and Spain followed in second, third, and fourth place, respectively.
