French Polynesian pepper production is expected to decline by 2% by 2026. Last year, the country's output was 128 metric tons, enough to place it 112th in the global rankings. Ireland, however, overtook France Polynesia with 128 metric tons of pepper. Mexico, Indonesia, and Spain held the top three spots, respectively. Since 1966, French Polynesia's pepper production has fallen by 2.6% each year.
