Uzbekistan's oilseeds consumption is projected to decline from 4,000 metric tons in 2023 to about 3,000 metric tons by 2028. This marks an average annual decrease of 5.6%. The demand for oilseeds in Uzbekistan has been on a downward trend since 2019, falling by 4.4% year on year. In 2023, Uzbekistan ranked 131st in oilseeds consumption, with Armenia surpassing it at the same consumption level. India, Indonesia, and Brazil held the second, third, and fourth spots, respectively. On the production front, Uzbekistan's oilseeds output is anticipated to drop from approximately 274,000 metric tons in 2023 to around 246,000 metric tons by 2028. This represents an average annual decline of 1.8%. However, since 1997, Uzbekistan's oilseeds production has seen a modest annual increase of 1.4%. In 2023, the country was 56th in global oilseeds production, with Lithuania overtaking it at the same production level. Brazil, Malaysia, and the United States were the second, third, and fourth largest producers, respectively.
