Leading the global consumption rankings are India, Indonesia, and Brazil, occupying the second, third, and fourth positions respectively. On the production front, Italy's oilseed output is expected to decrease to about 699,000 metric tons by 2028 from nearly 754,000 metric tons in 2023. This indicates an average annual decline of 1.2%. Since 1966, the country's oilseed supply has seen a slight annual decrease of 0.2%. In 2023, Italy ranked 30th in oilseed production, while Papua New Guinea slightly edged ahead with the same production figure of approximately 754,000 metric tons. Dominating the production rankings are Brazil, Malaysia, and the United States, securing the second, third, and fourth spots, respectively.
