In contrast, Santomean oilseeds production is expected to decline from 4,500 metric tons in 2023 to approximately 3,340 metric tons by 2028, marking an average annual decrease of 4.7%. Despite this projected decline, historical data shows that since 1966, Santomean oilseeds supply has grown by 2.5% annually. In the 2023 production rankings, São Tomé and Príncipe was 142nd, with Macedonia surpassing it with the same production figure of 4,500 metric tons. Brazil, Malaysia, and the United States were the top producers, ranking second, third, and fourth respectively.
