Tonga's oilseed production has seen a significant decline in 2023, dropping to approximately 2,800 metric tons. This marks a 16.4% decrease from the previous year's output of around 3,350 metric tons. The downward trend has been consistent since 1966, with an average annual decline of 13.5% in oilseed supply. As a result, Tonga is now ranked 145th globally in oilseed production for 2023. Luxembourg matched Tonga's production with 2,800 metric tons, just ahead in the rankings. Leading the list were Brazil, Malaysia, and the United States, occupying the second, third, and fourth positions, respectively.
