Malaysia is set to become one of the most overweight countries in the world by 2026, according to new figures. The adult population in the country is estimated to reach 49.6 percent overweight by then, up from 46.2 percent in 2021 - an increase of 1.1 points each year, on average, since 1980. Malaysia was ranked 116th on the list in 2021, with Tajikistan overtaking them with 46.2 percent of the adult population. The Marshall Islands, Tuvalu, and Kiribati were the top 3 most overweight countries respectively.
