In 2021, Rwanda was the 82nd largest consumer, overtaken by Ivory Coast with 81,000 metric tons. India, the US and Egypt respectively were the top three consumers. Rwandan tomato production is estimated to reach 118,150 metric tons by 2026, up 1.2% year-on-year on average. Since 2005, the country's supply was down 1.5% each year. In 2021, Rwanda was the 74th largest producer, overtaken by Germany with 110,230 metric tons. India, the US and Egypt were the top three producers.
