Tomato consumption in Guyana is expected to reach 46,190 metric tons by 2026, up 3.3% from 38,000 metric tons in 2021. Since 2017, Guyanese demand has grown by 1.8% year on year, but the country still lags behind Uruguay in 2021, which consumed 38,000 metric tons. India, the United States and Egypt respectively followed as the 2nd, 3rd and 4th biggest consumers. Guyana's tomato production is projected to reach 50,510 metric tons by 2026, up 3.6% on average year on year since 1966. The country ranked 94th in 2021, behind Madagascar's 40,700 metric tons. India, the United States and Egypt respectively took the 2nd, 3rd and 4th places in the ranking.
