Consumption of tomatoes in Belize is predicted to remain at around 2,000 metric tons by 2026. This figure has remained unchanged since 2017, with Belize coming in at 141st place in the rankings in 2021. Iceland was the country that overtook Belize with 2,000 metric tons. India, the United States and Egypt ranked second, third and fourth respectively. Belizean production of tomatoes is predicted to reach 1,520 metric tons by 2026, a 0.3% increase from 2021. Since 1994, Belizean production has decreased by 12% year on year. In 2021, Belize came in at 140th place in the rankings; Djibouti overtook Belize with 1,510 metric tons. India, the United States and Egypt ranked second, third and fourth respectively.
