Tomato consumption is set to reach 20,000 metric tons by 2026. This is a 0.2% year-on-year growth on average since 2017. In 2021, Uganda led the way with 19,000 metric tons followed by India, the United States and Egypt. Tomato production is also set to increase, reaching 4,200 metric tons by 2026, with a 0.6% year-on-year CAGR since 1966. Latvia overtook in 2021 with 4,040 metric tons, followed by India, the United States and Egypt.
