Liberian tomato consumption is expected to remain stable, reaching 4,000 metric tons by 2026. This is the same level that was recorded in 2021, when the country ranked 138th in the world. The Maldives topped the list with 4,000 metric tons. India, the US and Egypt came in second, third and fourth, respectively. Meanwhile, Liberian tomato production is set to grow by an average of 2.3% year on year to reach 4,490 metric tons by 2026. Since 1984, production has decreased by 0.4% year on year. Liberia ranked 134th in 2021, with the Republic of the Congo in the lead at 3,930 metric tons. India, the US and Egypt ranked second, third and fourth, respectively.
