In 2021, Mali was the 59th highest consumer of tomatoes globally, behind Albania's 205,000 metric tons. India, the US, and Egypt were the top three countries. Malian tomato production will also reach 210,620 metric tons by 2026, up from 186,660 metric tons in 2021. This rise of 2.1% year-on-year is lower than the average rate since 1966, which has been a decrease of 1.5% year-on-year. In 2021, Mali was the 65th highest producer of tomatoes globally, with Hungary in the lead at 186,660 metric tons. India, the US, and Egypt were the top three countries.
