In 2021, the Netherlands was 68th in the ranking of tomato consumption, overtaken by Sweden at 157,000 metric tons. India, the United States, and Egypt ranked 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, respectively. Dutch tomato production is set to increase 1% by 2026, reaching almost one million metric tons. This marks a 0.8% increase since 1966.
