Estonian tomato consumption is expected to remain at 20 thousand metric tons by 2026, according to a recent report. This marks no change from 2021. Since 2017, the demand for tomatoes in Estonia has not changed. In 2021, the country ranked 117th in the world, while Mauritania was ahead with the same amount of consumption. India, the United States, and Egypt followed as the second, third, and fourth highest consumers, respectively. Estonia's tomato production soared 58.6% in 2019, reaching 460 metric tons from 290 metric tons in 2018. Since 1997, production has declined by 37.1%. In 2019, the country ranked 152nd in the world in terms of production, with Dominica ahead at the same amount. India, the United States, and Egypt followed as the second, third, and fourth highest producers, respectively.
