In 2021, the country ranked 126th in the world for its tomato consumption, with Montenegro coming in ahead at 13 thousand metric tons. India, the US and Egypt ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively. Since 2017, Nepalese demand for tomatoes has remained steady.
