Venezuelan tomato consumption is forecast to reach almost 90,000 metric tons by 2026, down 6.6% from 2021. This marks a decrease of 2.4% since 2017. In 2021, Venezuela ranked 74th in tomato consumption. Taiwan surpassed Venezuela, with 134,000 metric tons, while India, the United States, and Egypt ranked 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, respectively. Venezuelan tomato production is expected to reach 175,000 metric tons by 2026, a decrease of 0.5% from 2021. This marks an increase of 1.2% since 1966. Last year, Venezuela ranked 66th in tomato production. Mali outranked Venezuela, with 180,700 metric tons, while India, the United States, and Egypt held the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th spots, respectively.
