Thai tomato consumption is expected to reach 170,000 metric tons by 2026. That's an average increase of 0.6% year on year since 2017. In 2021, the country was ranked number 66, just behind Kuwait at 164,000 metric tons. India, the United States, and Egypt were the top three countries in terms of consumption. On the other hand, Thai tomato production is forecast to drop 0.5% year on year to 119,000 metric tons by 2026. Since 1966, production had increased by 0.6% year on year. In 2021, the country was ranked number 72, just behind Palestine at 122,310 metric tons. India, the United States and Egypt were the top three countries in terms of production.
