Tomato consumption in Cyprus is expected to remain unchanged at 24,000 metric tons by 2026. Since 2017, demand has been consistent. Zambia led in 2021 with 24,000 metric tons, followed by India, the United States and Egypt, respectively. Meanwhile, production of tomatoes in Cyprus is forecast to decrease slightly to 12,550 metric tons by 2026, down from 14,720 metric tons in 2021. This is a drop of 2.7% per year since 1966. Cape Verde led in 2021 with 14,720 metric tons, followed by India, the United States and Egypt.
