Tomato consumption in Lebanon is projected to reach 259,000 metric tons by 2026. That's a drop of 1% per year since 2021, when it was 274,000 metric tons. Last year, Niger overtook Lebanon as the 51st biggest consumer of tomatoes. India, the United States and Egypt ranked second, third and fourth respectively. Production of tomatoes in Lebanon is expected to reach 261,080 metric tons by 2026. That's a decrease of 0.1% annually since 2021, when it was 262,590 metric tons. Last year, Belgium was ahead of Lebanon in the 56th spot. India, the United States and Egypt were again second, third and fourth in this ranking.
