Qatar's tomato production is on the rise. In 2021, it stood at 30,000 metric tons - up 18.7% compared to 1982. This put Qatar in 100th place in the world rankings, while Uruguay overtook it to take the top spot with 30,000 metric tons. India, the United States, and Egypt ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th, respectively. Looking ahead, Qatar's tomato production is expected to reach 37,000 metric tons by 2026, an average annual growth rate of 3.5%.
