Serbian tomato consumption is expected to reach 160,000 metric tons by 2026, growing at a rate of 0.3% each year on average. Since 2017, demand for tomatoes in Serbia has increased by 2.5%. Serbia was number 69 in 2021, but Chile overtook them with 155,000 metric tons. India, the United States and Egypt were the top three countries in the ranking, respectively. Meanwhile, Serbian tomato production is set to decline from 110,200 metric tons in 2021 to 87,180 metric tons by 2026, dropping by an average of 3.9% each year. Since 2011, the country's tomato supply has decreased by 7.2%. Rwanda was number 75 in 2021, while India, the United States and Egypt were in the top four.
