The number of mobile subscriptions in Mozambique is on track to reach almost 19 million by 2026. This figure has grown by an average of 2.3% per year since 2021, when it was 16.4 million. At the beginning of this century, the demand for mobile subscriptions in Mozambique was growing at a rate of 1.8% per year. In 2021, the country was ranked 65th in the world in terms of the number of mobile subscriptions, behind Ecuador (66th). India, the United States and Indonesia were the top three countries, respectively.
