Germany is set to become the 16th largest mobile subscriber market in the world, with 123.8 million subscriptions by 2026. This is a 1.3% growth year-on-year from the 115.5 million subscriptions recorded in 2021. Since 1990, German demand for mobile phone subscriptions has been increasing at a rate of 2.2% year-on-year. Mexico topped the list in 2021 with the highest number of mobile subscriptions (115.5 million), followed by India, the United States and Indonesia.
