Burkinabe mobile subscriptions are set to hit 29.5 million by 2026, according to the latest figures. This is an increase of 3.4% year on year on average since 2001—when the figure was just 9.4%. Burkina Faso came in at 54th place in 2021, with 24.2 million subscriptions. Romania was ahead in the ranking, with India, the US and Indonesia taking second, third and fourth places respectively.
