Since 2001, the demand for mobile subscriptions in the country has grown by almost 10% every year. In 2021, Ivory Coast was the 41st largest market for mobile subscriptions worldwide. It was overtaken by the Democratic Republic of the Congo, which had 44 million subscriptions. India, the United States and Indonesia were the world's largest markets for mobile subscriptions, in that order.
