Ecuador imported close to 150 kilograms of xylene in 2018, a dramatic increase of 189% compared to 2017 when only 51.9 kilograms were imported. Since 1996, demand for xylene in Ecuador has dropped by 36%. In 2018, Ecuador was the 87th largest importer of xylene in the world. Spain topped the list at 150 kilograms, followed by Germany, Italy and Belgium.
