Japanese xylene exports are set to drop by an average of 3.5% per year, going from 28 million kilograms in 2021 to just under 28 million kilograms in 2026. This is a significant drop, as the country was down a total of 10.9% since 1993. In 2021, Germany topped the rankings with 33.8 million kilograms, followed by Singapore, the United States and the Netherlands in second, third, and fourth place respectively. In 2018, however, Japan was in 90th place, with Brunei coming in at first with 90 kilograms. Germany, Italy and Belgium followed in second, third and fourth.
