In 2018, Finland imported 1,200 kilograms of xylene, a 81.4% increase from 662.13 kilograms in 2017. Since 1993, Finnish demand for the chemical has risen 21.7% each year. The Czech Republic took the top spot at 1,200 kilograms, with Germany, Italy and Belgium following in second, third and fourth place. Finnish xylene exports in 2018 added up to 458 kilograms, a 60.1% increase from 286 kilograms in 2017. Since 1995, supplies of the chemical have risen 89% annually. The Czech Republic again led the way with 458 kilograms, followed by Singapore, the United States and the Netherlands.
