Egypt is set to see an increase in zinc imports to $126.2 million by 2026 from $104.1 million in 2021. This marks an average growth of 3.2% year-on-year since 1999. Spain overtook Egypt with imports of $104.1 million in 2021, putting Egypt in 28th place. The US, Germany and Belgium ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th, respectively. Meanwhile, zinc exports from Egypt are expected to fall to $1.99 million in 2026 from $2 million in 2021, a decrease of 0.1% year-on-year. The country's export supply has grown by 0.5% since 1999. New Zealand overtook Egypt in 2021 with exports of $2 million, placing Egypt in 62nd place. Belgium, Canada and Australia ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th, respectively.
