This marks a significant rise on the 7.1% year-on-year growth since 1993. In 2021, France topped the list of biggest exporters with $400 million, followed by Belgium, Canada and Australia. Meanwhile, Japan's imports of zinc are expected to grow 0.7% year-on-year to reach $151 million in 2026, up from $145 million in 2021. Since 1993, Japan's demand for zinc has risen by 9.2% year-on-year. Mexico was the leading importer in 2021 with $145 million, followed by the United States, Germany and Belgium.
