India is set to become the seventh-largest zinc importer by 2026, with imports reaching over $1.18 billion. The Netherlands took the lead in 2021, with imports totalling $963.78 million. The US, Germany and Belgium followed in second, third and fourth place, respectively. India is also projected to become the eighth-largest zinc exporter by 2026, with exports expected to total $1.003 billion. Peru was the top exporter in 2021, with exports valued at $856.61 million. Belgium, Canada and Australia occupied the second, third and fourth position, respectively. Since 1993, Indian zinc demand has grown at an average yearly rate of 6.6%, while supply has increased 14.6% per year.
